Liz enjoying the scenery After a few days, Mt Robson (3954m)  finally revealed itself from behind the clouds. Kinney Lake, on the famous Berg Lake Trail around the west side of Mt Robson. Hard work these day hikes! Kinney Lake Every time I tried to photograph a nice looking piece of sky, some lump of rock kept getting itself in the way! Our cabin had a tremendous view up the river Liz opening cards on her birthday.

Great shots Andy!  I spent 5 days on the Berg Lake trail in '04 and still count it one of my all-time favorites.  Circumnavigating that chunk of rock makes one truly appreciate the difficulty in summiting Mt Robson.  No "easy" routes and it rarely pokes out of the damn weather!  It was 3 or 4 days, and a gorgeous 6:00am sunrise on Berg Lake before we finally spied the "full Robson."  Spectacular.
